"In the summer of 2012, I had the opportunity to work with Libby and her horses. I had never been around horses until that summer where I helped her at a ranch that she was in the process of building. I must say that I really loved being with the horses she had at that time. Libby’s horse Rebel and a young colt named Semper Fi. I really loved being with Semper Fi. I would ask Libby if it was ok if I could just go spend time with them and she would say yes. I would go and brush Semper and talk to him. I was going through some emotional stuff and it was so nice to be able to talk to Semper and not have him or her judge me but listen to me. I would cry as I would talk to Semper but it was nice to just let go. It did not matter if I was helping with taking down a wire fence or cleaning up horse poop. I was there for the horses. There were other horses as well but Semper was my favorite and he would just follow you around and want to be brushed and petted. I loved just being able to go and spend quality time with Semper, just me and him. I really miss spending time with Libby’s horses. It does not matter how old you are, or what you have going on in your life, one can truly benefit from spending time with Libby and her horses. Every chance I get, I try and mention Libby’s Equine Therapy and how much it helps. After having some health issues that occurred Aug. 2017 and Jan. 2018, I need to go back and spend time with Libby and her horses."
"Kansas is so blessed that Libby has boomeranged her way back home from Arizona and brought equine therapy with her. For anyone struggling with trauma, substance abuse, relationship issues, mental health, really any human condition that makes life feel hard to navigate greatly benefit from the love and care Libby and the horses provide. We have a true gem back!"
